Bloc N°18 Memo Pad
Rhodia Bloc memo pad is a trustworthy tool for your daily notes and sketches whether you are at the office or en route. The Block N°18 pad is a size of A4, so despite the generous size, it still slips into the briefcase of bag if necessary.
Coated, smooth cardboard cover is scored to fold neatly over the top of the pad, following the natural shape of the stack of paper. This simple but ingenious solution keeps the pad evenly on a desk and makes it very durable. The staples do not appear on the back either. Stiff back cover makes writing easy on uneven surfaces or handheld.
The paper is superfine 80 g vellum and feels exceptionally smooth and satin finish. Micro-perforated sheets enables you remove the sheet neatly by quick tug without ripping it - they detach easily but not unintentionally.

Grid
I somehow assumed the grid ink color would be black. But is is BLUE!. That surprised me. There was no information about the grid ink color. If I had known that, I wouldn't have bought. There is nothing wrong with the paper, quote the opposite. Also the paper is not A4. If staples could come off and the whole paper would be in use, then it would be A4. A little misleading when paper size is advertised as A4.

Hei, jotenkin oletin että ruudukon muste olisi musta. Mutta se oli SININEN! Se jotenkin yllätti. Tietoa musteen väristä ei kuvauksessa ollut. Jos olisin tiennyt, en olisi ostanut. Paperissa ei muuten mitään vikaa, päinvastoin. Lisäksi paperi ei ole A4. Jos ne niitit saisi pois, eli koko arkki käyttöön, sitten se on A4. Hieman harhaanjohtava kun kuitenkin mainostetaan paperin mitat A4:na.

High quality paper
It's nice that these Rhodia paper products are available in Finland! I haven't seen them for sale in other domestic (online) shops. The quality of the paper is excellent. Suitable for writing and drawing, also excellent for fountain pens. The dot-graph notebook combines the practicality of a checkerboard notebook with the freedom of blank paper. Strong recommendation for this one!

Mukavaa, että näitä Rhodia-paperituotteita saa Suomesta! En ole muissa kotimaisissa (netti-)kaupoissa nähnyt myynnissä. Paperin laatu on erinomainen. Soveltuu kirjoitteluun ja piirtämiseen, erinomainen myös täytekynille. Pisteruudutetussa vihkossa yhdistyvät ruutuvihkon käytännöllisyys ja blankon paperin antama vapaus. Vahva suositus tälle!

Micro-perforation did not work...
Good Rhodia quality! The paper is a bit thinner than in the hardback notebooks, but still good quality. The only problem I had with this one was that the tearing of the pages was not as neat as promised. For some reason, I can't get the whole paper off one time, and there are ugly tears left in the page.

Hyvää Rhodia laatua! Paperi on hieman ohuempaa kuin kovakantisissa vihkoissa, mutta silti hyvää laadultaan. Ainoa ongelmani tämän kanssa oli, että sivujen irrottaminen ei ollut yhtä siistiä kuin oli luvattu. Jostain syystä en saa kertaakaan koko paperia irti, vaan lehtiöön jää rumasti repeämiset.

Rhodia's paper is absolutely wonderful. It's so nice to write on it with a fountain pen. I almost exclusively use fountain pens (and waterproof fountain pen ink), which of course take a little longer to dry on such a high quality coated paper, but the pleasure of writing on such paper is in a class of its own. This pad is wonderfully big. The back cover is sturdy, so it's easy to use. I really like Rhodia's dot-graph paper.
