TRM Atom features a 8,9 cm full flat ground blade, slicey 2,3 mm blade stock, and an edge that arrives razor sharp right out of the box. The Atom can’t be described as a “hard use” knife but it is designed to be a perfect companion always available for your daily cutting tasks.
The Atom features titanium pocketed liners, titanium deep pocket carry clip, and titanium thumbstuds and spacers. All TRM Atoms are manufactured and assembled in the USA utilizing US materials and suppliers.

Slightly bigger than the Neutron, I like the lines and textured scales of the Atom better than those on the smaller knife. Magnicut is probably better suited to this bigger blade, given its slightly better edge stability than 20CV. However, the relative slim dimensions tend to suit the smaller Neutron better and I find the Neutron in my pocket more often than the Atom. Still the Atom is an absolutely fabulous knife once the washer action has broken in.

Design, weight, finish are top and action is really smooth. Problem is the engaging of this linerlock: it is a bit vague, unless you give it some whrist flick. As a result I often check if the lock actually engaged.
Maybe it needs some breaking-in, but I expected the lock to work solid from the start.
