Kurume Kasuri Pouch
Developed in collaboration with Robinson and the historic workshop Okamoto Shoten, these Kurume Kasuri pouches honor one of Japan’s most emblematic textile traditions.
Unlike ordinary textiles, kasuri is not printed after weaving. Each thread is individually dyed beforehand — a meticulous, time-honored process requiring exceptional skill and precision.
As the fabric is woven, these pre-dyed threads form patterns with soft, naturally blurred edges. This signature kasuri effect gives each pouch its poetic, almost hand-painted appearance. Every motif embodies patience, craftsmanship, and a heritage refined over more than two centuries.

Truly looks great. Little and well spaced. Attracts looks also. I am using it for coins mostly, but I think pens or some other small stuff is better for.
Perfect from the outside, unfinished from the inside - seams are a bit frayed which makes the finishing look a bit sloppy. The pull tab is also a bit too large for my taste but it looks and feels very good! Does its job perfectly 👌🏽

Ajattelin field notes vihkon laittaa kun mittojen puolesta piti mennä, mutta vetoketju ei sallinut. Kuitenkin muuta käyttöä löytyi kaiken pienen tavaran säilyttämiseen. Täytyy myös ottaa huomioon että japanin jeni on todella halpa euroon verrattuna, joten sitä kautta tämä on todellinen löytö. Todella laadukas.
