The main compartment features two zippered pockets and padded & suspended laptop and tablet sleeves. A PALS row at the top allows use of Matroskya and other pouches. The laptop sleeve design is a hybrid - it is part of the main compartment but it is sealed off thus creating its own compartment with access only via the top quick access zipper.

Front organizer compartment has 2 sleeve pockets with a large loop field and a zippered pocket above it. The loop field is sized to hold existing Type 1 & 2 organizers (sold separately) and any hook & loop compatible pouch. It will also accommodate the Sliders (sold separately) in there.

Well-functioning laptop bag

My 15” EliteBook fits really nicely in the laptop compartment, which was the key criteria for buying. The olive green colour is deep and pleasant to look at, as well as the fabric’s design.

Shoulder straps are well padded, making carrying a breeze. It is super easy to adjust the harness, and the buckle slides easily. Breast strap works well. I haven’t yet tested the load lifters nor a super heavy load.

Putting the side compressions in place was relatively easy, but did take a bit of time because I’d never done such a thing. Top handle is very sturdy, and I can imagine that my hand breaks before the handle! :-)

I am yet to become familiar with all the pockets and finding my way of using them. I do like the small pocket on the top for quick access to small items, however if I were travelling, I would most likely leave it empty. The internal top pocket is good for keys and stuff. Side pockets for water bottle etc. could have some airiness, in case water spills or it rains a lot.

Downsides? A 10” tablet with thin cover doesn’t fit in the laptop compartment, or at least easily when the laptop is there, and accessing the tablet sleeve is slightly clumsy. It goes there yes, but could be a bit better designed.

The other downside is visual - the internal lining’s colour and design are not to my liking. It doesn’t however impact the functionality and it’s mainly hidden from view, hence I decided to accept. I would have preferred a bit more orange lining.

Backpack is everything and more then I expected. Robust build while still looking clean and light (as it can be). Straps are very comfortable and they do not push onto my shoulders.
Several pockets help with organization and additionally the main compartment can fit a lot.
I use it as an EDC with compression straps, which are a bit hard to put on, and a as travel bag fully packed out without any issues

Freedom of carrying whatever I want

I don't need an EDC, I needed to be able to do errands, fill my bag with groceries, go on a trip. A bit heavy for a dayhike, but functional enough. Velcro panel adds customizable administration. Bag looks nice both when full and empty, stands by itself. More delicate equipment doesn't collapse or get shuffled like it would in a soft bag... Why buy a bad bag + a plastic container when you can have this?
