Max Backpack

I've been searching for a bag that would fit my requirements for about 9 months, and I'm happy I found the Able Carry, even if it was by accident.
I have an Aer Duffel Pack 2 and love it, but it has certain EDC / outdoor limitations, not to mention it doesn't fit the best in an office setting.

The Able Carry is a worthy successor and it checks all the boxes for me; it's spacious, I can put tons of stuff inside it while keeping it organised, the design is low profile but also clean, and it isn't out of the question if it'll fit in an office setting or on a hike.
The comfort is 9/10 and it doesn't present issues when carried for several hours.

From my perspective I am more than pleased with my purchase and will only look forward to using the bag in as many scenarios as possible.
Current checklist:
- fits perfectly for flying, having clothes, snacks, gear inside
- is comfortable for hiking for 3+ hours
- works in an office setting as an EDC**

** I prefer my bags to be in the slightly bulkier department, that can fit a lot of miscellaneous stuff, so for people looking at a more low-profile bag it might not check all the boxes if they stuff it with everything and expect it to still be sleek.

The only negative points I could give it if I wanted to:
- after 5 years of Aer backpack usage, getting used to the Able Carry takes a tad; the straps and bag positioning on me need a bit of adjusting
- the straps have places where you can stow extra elements (like the strap that you can connect across your chest for more stability and hiking) but it doesn't fully fit so it kind of juts out awkwardly.
- some zippers also don't fully fall inside the crease / cover of the pocket they're a part of

The last two parts are a slight bother if you pack some things in, zip it all up and expect everything to be flush, but for the non min-maxers out there, I don't expect it to be a problem.

All in all, while pricey I am glad I've made the purchase as it's going to be a bag I'll use for the next decade or so, at least.

It is an expensive product, but the quality and durability are so good. However, it is a little disappointing that it is a little heavy

I am completely blown away by this backpack. I've been eyeing it for quite awhile andd finally have decided to buy it. I chose earth green as its material is a bit thicker, i.e. slightly more resistant than in the other color options and less shiny in daylight. The built and the design, the x-pac material, the zippers and overall appearance and functionality are impressive. The key holder is a great feature, as well as the inner bottle holder in which I had easily fitted my 500 ml bottle and a small umbrella. That pocket does eat up some space of the main compartment, but too much. The so-called work compartment for the laptop is well secured and my oldd 17 inch mbp fits perfectly, I can also fit my kindle, a notepad and some shorter cables.
I was worried about the front pocket as that one doesn't have aquaguard zippers, but the first morning/day of my premiere use, it was pouring outside like crazy and all my gear had stayed dry, which was a relief.
Yes, the Max backpack really does stand on its own, empty or packed.
When fully loaded, and I mean 98 percent loaded on my first use and trip with it, it was heavy and I was afraid it might be too much, but the A-frame carry system did its magic the moment I had it on my shoulders and poof, the weight was unnoticeable. Seriously, it does work.
The only tiny negative was on the sternum strap. I do love the magnetic clip and the ease of using it, however, one of the straps had a loose thread which was coming apart. I did cut it with sharp scissors and it's barely noticeable where it was.
I have to mention impeccable Mukama service. I had ordered my Max on Friday afternoon, past their working hours and got an email update from them on Monday early afternoon that it was sent to me. Tuesday morning, it had arrived and by the end of the day it was already packed for its premiere use and trip on Wed morning. I id pay for the quicker delivery option, but man, that was warp speed 9!

This backpack is able to carry a lot of stuff! I took a walk with it to another city and the backpack feels amazing. I love the color earth-green! I didn't put a lot of stuff in the main compartment but I can tell it can fit a lot for a 30L backpack.

Tech-Laptop compartment is great and feels sturdy. I am female, 165 cm high and I bought this backpack for a travel/every day carry combo. If you plan to carry a ton of stuff with you on every day basis then I highly recommend this backpack. For a minimalist travel also.

This bag is perfect for talk dudes.
Every other bag I had felt like a baby bag before this one. Materials are super high quality and the user experience is awesome. The bag stand on its own which is huge.

I was torn between the EDC and Max. I didn't hesitate to choose Max. It is smaller than I expected, making it convenient for everyday use and also perfect for two to three-day trips.

I bought and used this for air travel overseas to keep everything carry-on and my hands free. Exceptional quality, looks, and comfort.

I filled this to the max weight of EU carry-on and didn’t feel a thing while wearing it. Very easy to put into airplane bins and all of the handles make everything very convenient for real-world use when getting around.

The bag holds a decent volume but make sure you will find good use of the tech compartment on the back because it does take a significant amount of space.

This is my fifth Able Carry pack so far and my first Cordura material pack. I chose Cordura so it won't look boxy since it has more give and flexibility than Xpack. I think you could stuff it a bit more because of Cordura.

Keep in mind MAIN compartment is about 25-26L and laptop compartment is 4-5L more. So it holds a bit less than 30L packs that are geared towards travellers and that usually are one compartment bags. This one has very specious laptop/tech compartment with easy access and water resistant zipper coating.
Water bottle pocket eats into main compartment so if you need maximum capacity AND want to stuff bottle inside, this one is not for you. But on other side pack is kinda wider than compared backpacks so if you pack it the same as you would other packs there is sill space on lateral sides but it will hold less. Since is wider then others, if you have small frame this pack would look big on you.

My other bag is a North Face 30L for travel that holds more and is lighter but MAX is like carrying clouds on your backs. Weight is no issue and comfort is like no other for me. So same weight would feel lighter with Max backpack.

It's kinda big for EDC but if you have lot of stuff or want to carry laptop/tech with lot of documents and maybe stuff gym gear inside this is perfect for that. Max feels like luxury when carrying it and I love the materials (Cordura ripstop on WHOLE pack and bottom not like Xpack that has combination of materials).
