X-POD™ II Sling Pack

I’ve been hunting for a sling that just works day to day. The Code of Bell X-POD II is it. I loved my Matador On-Grid Hip Pack for years. It’s super light, but it maxes out fast. The X-POD II keeps the small-bag feel and gives you real room to play with.
Organization is on point. Two compartments, with the front one expandable for overflow. Inside the main compartment you get three zip mesh pockets and a key hook. There are quick-access zip pockets on the sides for a cardholder or earbuds, plus a rear hidden pocket for a passport or phone.

It carries great. The self-locking magnetic buckle is fast and secure. Works crossbody or around the waist. The detachable chest strap keeps it from bouncing when you’re biking or walking fast. Traveling? The rear pass-through sleeve lets you tuck the strap away.
The best part is the flexibility. Open up the expandable front and it swallows bulkier stuff like a water bottle. Use the compression straps or attach points to lash down a light jacket so the inside stays clear.
Materials feel legit and a bit greener. The main body uses recycled RE/COR RN66 nylon, and the hybrid colorways pair ECOPAK up front with recycled Cordura on the body. The orange camo lining makes it easy to spot small items. The top grab handle is simple but handy.
If you want a compact sling that stays out of the way but can stretch when needed, this one hits the sweet spot.

I possibly have an unhealthy liking for bags but maybe I have found my perfect daily carry. It is not the only CoB bag I possess e.g. the Annex Liner is very similar volume wise but I am finding that the sling style just carries more comfortably especially when fully loaded. I am still experimenting with hanging things on to it and would definitely recommend an elastic organiser board for the outer section, I use one about 180x130 mm. I can see this becoming my go to daily carry bag.

This is my favourite sling bag, and I’ve owned many. Bellroy sling mini, Alpaka tech case mini, Alpaka go sling mini, and the aer city sling 2. The Codeofbell X-Pod 2 is by far the best sling bag I’ve ever used. It has a crazy amazing tech wear aesthetic, and when paired with some tritium it looks great at night. Only problem was strap compression system, which I removed. The photo attached is the city sling 2 vs the X-Pod 2.

This sling is the top of the notch, has everything you can ask in a sling of this size. And i mean EVERYTHING, so if you don't have that much of a specific need this could be not the sling for you (i wanted something super versatile, close to the body and with a semi-technical look to it). At leas for me, it need some time to get used to it, even more now that i wear it over a lot of winter clothing, but it's really useful once you get to your way to use it (i noticed than i can almost access everything i need in a hurry with a single hand, always impossible previously). The only downside i can list is the belt: it's cool (obviously) that you can set it the way you want, close to the body, looser, or even as a funny pack, but i found out that, especially when you wear it tight, it tends to get loose overtime, forcing you to readjust it quite often. A possible solution could be inserting on the inside of the belt a velcro strap on most of his length, so that it can remain perfectly still once it is set.

I bought this sling pack so that I would have access to items I needed frequently without having to remove my backpack while walking the Camino Portuguese.

It also allowed me to keep important documents and cash with me while exploring various cities every night.

Then as an added bonus the bag expands so that I didn't need to carry a reusable shopping bag with me while buying groceries ... every ounce either counts for you or against you while walking day after day.

It worked perfectly and I'll be taking it with me on the Camino Frances next autumn!!!

Competent little sling pack. Really high quality materials. Handy bag on the back or on the chest. Rotates easily on the back and back to the chest. And the fact it can expand means its minimal but can expand when you need to carry more stuff. A big thumbs up for the guys over at COFB.

1 kk päivittäisen käytön jälkeen pätevä pikku reppu. Todella laadukkaat materiaalit, hyvin hylki vettä, kun ajoi Brätkällä sateessa. Näppärä reppu selkään tai rinnalle, jos vaikka isompi slingi selässä. Toimii siis varmasti hienosti myös isoveljensä kanssa, kun samansuuntaisesti selässä. Hihnan säädöt luistavat, vain jos solki pääsee kääntymään suhteessa hihnaan, ei siis ongelmaa puettuna. Monikäyttöinen. Fiksusti suunnitellut taskut, toimivat käytännössä. Ostaisin uudestaan. Suosittelen, jos tarvetta edc tavaroille tais muille pienille tarvikkeille niin toimii tämä reppu hienosti. Pyörähtää näppärästi selkään ja takaisin rinnalle. Isoveli ostoon seuraavaksi

Fantastic small slingpack! Absolutely love its structure and compartmentalisation. Superb materials with great details and excellent stitching. For sure will become my go-to-solution for EDC since it's compact and handy. Most people, including myself, really don't need to haul that full-blown backpack all the time - really not! This thing is absolutely sufficient for over 90 percent of your carry situations except maybe an Overnighter. But in this case you can marvellously transform this little jewel into double its size by simply releasing two buckles thus gaining extra space if need be. I own the MCB version which is suuuuper rad! A big thumbs up for the guys over at COFB.
