I have backpacks from Evergoods, Able Carry, Wandrd, Topo Designs, Chrome, Bellroy etc. I've never seen a built quality that matches ILE. they are way beyond any competition in there! worth every penny.
it's an amazing hybrid backpack. back panel is overkill for EDC, but it's great when the bag is loaded, and when you're cycling, or travelling.
for EDC I took out the back panel (comes out super easy) and replaced it with Savotta MPP Foam Mat. it's much better for EDC. more lightweight, and shorter. default panel is not really my favorite thing in this bag. but, would keep it if I am travelling outside the city, or when cycling with a big load.
customizable, thanks to the MOLLE in front. I use my Savotta Horizontal Pouch there. gives and extra quick access compartment. I uploaded front, and back photos so you can see how much customization you can have with the bag! it's very satisfying. I also use Wandrd straps to attach an extra jacket outside, or towels etc.
huge capacity. says 21LT, but feels like you are packing much more. I went to the mountains for 5 days with it, packed it to almost to the limit, but still had empty space on top, thanks to the shape of the bag! there was a t-shirt left I didn't even wear at the end of the trip. you can carry enough for a week trip with this backpack on minimal packing!
straps are the best I've seen. even better than new Evergoods straps. most comfortable carry in any bag I have. even when it's loaded on capacity doesn't hurt your back, not putting any pressure on the spine, and shoulders are the most comfortable ever! I went to hiking in a very thick forest, and I had a very good carry with the bag. but, you need time to get used to back panel, because it sweats. after a couple of use it stopped bothering me. 30 mins, 1 hour in best case, and you're going to have a sweaty back. every bag is sweat tho, and it's not sweating more than any other high-end brands that I have.
no admin panel organization in the front pocket. ILE has a separate organizer, but Mukama don't have it in their collection. I used Alpha One Niner organizer, but it's 1-2 cm wider, so it bends a little.
killer backpack! love throwing it around. incredible reliable built. what's not to love?!
ILE is something else. I don't like being found of any brands. especially on bag brands, but if I see a similar product is made by ILE, I won't think twice. best of the best build quality. I've never seen such sturdy products. everything they make is literally unbreakable! fantastic!
it doesn't seem like Mukama is going to bring anymore ILE. which is sad, but also good, so I can keep my money in my pocket! LOL!
