These pouches are inspired by a traditional Japanese weaving technique known as kurume kasuri.
What makes it unique is how the patterns are created: instead of being printed onto the fabric after weaving, the threads are dyed beforehand in carefully calculated ways.
This age-old method results in patterns with soft, slightly blurred edges — a hallmark of kasuri’s distinctive look. Each pouch reflects the patience, precision, and craftsmanship passed down through generations of artisans.
