Top travel + gym bag

Very happy with my purchase, it's expensive but for me it's worth it. Construction and materials are top notch, wears confortable and has plenty of space and organization for my use scenarios. I use it mostly for the gym and and short trips and it's been really good. The hip belt should be easier to remove and put on, it's a pain so I just did it once and forgot it exists, don't thinks it's a must. This bag can easily replace two or three different bags as it's very versatile, only not quite the look i'd wear for work.

I’d been looking for a while for a backpack that was hand-luggage size and suitable for trips lasting a few days. I recently took this backpack as my only piece of luggage (hand luggage) on a one-week business and leisure trip. I was amazed at how much it could hold. The backpack is very well made and well organised with its many compartments. I am very happy with it.

Super impressed by this bag

Super impressed by this bag. Did tons of research and landed on this after comparing many other models. What makes it great is the materials, the carrying system and all the very well considered pockets. The rear mesh pocket is great for carrying thing you need quick access to or for temporarily storing things like travel documents, headphones, gloves etc.

Best back I ever owned.

I am REALLY picky about bags. I have owned a dozen for daily use, travel, EDC, commuting… and I owned another dozen for my job in the military. I tried most of the best bags on the market: Mystery Ranch, Eberlestock, North Face, Patagonia…
At first I was opting for the GoRuck GR3. But the price point (which is imo a real issue for that brand) brought me to consider the Matador GR35.

I would never go back, and if it may happen to me to loose/destroy this back (which is unlikely), I would definitely buy another one.
The size is perfect for me to both motorcycle commuting and go to the gym on the same day, and is also perfect for week long trips and train/plane travel.
The big opening is great to get an overview of your stuff, and the smaller compartment are really well designed and don’t take up too much of the 35L (which was the main objective for me: find a backpack without 1000+ useless pockets that add weight while taking up all the space)

It stands really well on my back, and is comfortable to carry on my bike for more than an hour.

To summarise, if you are looking for a big clamshell opening backpack that can suits 95% of your trips/needs, and still don’t break the bank ( the bag is expensive, but it easily replaced all my other bags at once - except my work ones for sure), do not hesitate anymore.
