For those that prefer to run their pivots dry to avoid attracting dust and dirt, KPL introduces Dry Film™. It goes on as a liquid, but quickly flashes off to leave behind a 100% dry fluorinated layer. Unlike competing products, Dry Film has no liquid or waxy components to attract dust or lint. In fact, the low surface energy of dry film prevents particulates from attaching themselves to metal surfaces and makes them less likely to attract themselves to your knife parts.
A non-toxic, dirt-repellent, sub-micron dry film lubricant utilizing ultra-concentrated pure fluorinated lubricant - smoother and without the toxic smell of competing technologies. The food-grade solvent base incorporates fast-evaporating high-molecular weight liquids with extremely low viscosities.

I had bought this as a ‘fluorite alternative’ to the CRK grease to try on my Sebenza. This reasoning was only half right! The real advantage of KPL dry is that it dries after use, so doesn’t capture dirt and lint and may even repeal such gunk. So the main reason to use it rather than the KPL original is on a working knife in dusty environments. While you can you can use it on bearings this just seems to be made for washer based actions. Not as glassy smooth as some but great if you use your knife in dusty environments and are after lower maintenance.
Protect well interfacing metal parts even under oil-free conditions. The new fluorinated formula flows through surface textures nicely to deposit dry film particles and then repels contaminants like dust and dirt. It gives bare surfaces extremely low surface energies resulting in smooth, quiet operation. Definitely worth it.
You can really tell that it repells dust and other particles. Keeps everything smooth
i still prefer my combo of ultralight and heavy. Light for ball bearings, and heavy for some detents
