Die Griffschalen des Lander sind sogenannte Fast Swap Scales – sie lassen sich einfach austauschen, ohne dass das gesamte Messer zerlegt werden muss. Einfach vier Schrauben lösen, und schon bist du frei. Wer sich mit dem Zerlegen von Taschenmessern auskennt, weiß: normalerweise bedeutet das Entfernen der Griffschalen, dass das Messer komplett auseinanderfällt – man muss anschließend alles neu ausrichten. Nicht schwierig, aber auch nicht schnell oder bequem.
Durch das Fast Swap-System wird eine völlig neue Welt der Individualisierung eröffnet. Und das Beste: Die Griffschalen sind Open Source – bereitgestellt unter der Creative Commons Lizenz Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0). Nutzer dürfen sie verbreiten, remixen, anpassen und weiterentwickeln – in jedem Medium und Format, solange Knafs als Urheber genannt wird. Die CAD-Datei ist hier verfügbar.
Knafs lädt ausdrücklich dazu ein, das Messer auseinanderzunehmen, zu erforschen und wieder zusammenzubauen – die Garantie erlischt dadurch nicht. So kannst du dein Messer wirklich besitzen und viele Jahre lang Freude daran haben.

Huomaa että suunnittelia Ben on itse intohimoinen veisi ihminen.
I like it very much
This is the second time I’ve bought one of these knives and they’ve both proved to be more trouble then they’re worth. The first one had a spacer that didn’t fit the replacement scales and had to be filed down. The second knife was delivered with a stripped screw meaning I couldn’t unscrew it as is advertised. I got in touch with Mukama who were unusually unhelpfull and just sent me a list of solutions for fixing stripped screws including drilling out the screw, something I already knew about and ended up having to do and because the scales are so flimsy the original scale snapped. One of the main selling points for this knife is the supposed ease of swapping out scales, I’d recommend looking at Benchmade or Civivi knives and Flytanium scales. I’m definitely not buying anymore Knafs gear.
Was pleased Mukama had these in stock. Great addition to my EDC, nicely made pocket knife. Satisfying opening by thumb stud, nice deep carry clip. Was nice and sharp out of the box. A great affordable pocket knife.
The knife is excellent for what it is - a utalitarian EDC knife, that offers a variety options for easy scale change. Not perfect, but highly useful.
Regarding service - the knife was shipped and arrived at my city at the date it was supposed to arrive at Mukama!
