Gives a bit of an accent to backpacks, packing cubes, pouches, especially if they are black/grey. Also, makes it easier to see and grab in darker conditions than a black zipper pull on a black item (same goes for grey-on-grey interior of standard Evergoods products).
I like that they add an extra touch of style to an otherwise solidly black pack.
