Civic Travel Bag 26 L Backpack

The best backpack i have ever used!

I've had this bag for a year now. It still looks brand new. This bag can handle it all. Everyday carry, gym bag, short trips, personal item bag, hiking bag. It fits a surprising amount of stuff. Prior to this, I had a Bellroy transit 28l and the difference in quality is insane. Evergoods has really thought through all of the feature implementations of this bag. If I had to keep one bag out of my bag collection, it would be this.

I've bought the CTB26 for an international flight and for onebagging when I need to stay away more than just a weekend. Coming from a CTB20 I knew what to expect and this time too Evergoods has not disappointed. Another terrific bag and perfect for my use case.

The quality is very good. Materials are top of the game & a lot of organisation options.
However, the bag sits very high on your back, & the more you load it the more you feel it. The "side" admin panel is not my favourite. I was not able to get used to it & ended up avoiding using it all together. And the lower back pain is real. I cant say that its painful, but you definitely feel it, For a 300 usd backpack I cant find a justification for that.
The only reason I rate is as 4 is that its intended to be a Travel Bag. For travel maybe it is 4, but as EDC I would not rate it more than a 3. Dont understand the hype. Sorry.

A backpack of the highest quality. A bit on the expensive size, but with so thoughtful organisation. Water bottle pockets are maybe the best that i have seen on a backpack. MInimal, beautiful design

Backpack made from very durable material. Easy to clean from dust. Zippers are smooth and durable.

Straps are very comfortable and well padded. Don't dig into your shoulders event if backpack full loaded.

Laptop compartment is very well padded and has a velcro strap to keep the laptop in place. There enough space for 2 laptops.

Great side pockets for bottles. They are deep enough to keep bottle in place and have tight elastic bands.

If backpack heavy top handle not so comfortable. It doesn't digging into palm but feels not so comfortable.

Minimalistic and not pretentious, very high quality backpack.

I was looking into around fifty different backpacks before I've found the Evergoods CTB26.

I really wanted a backpack which I can use as an EDC when going to the office and the gym afterwards. But I also wanted to use it for short trips (max. 3 days).

The CTB26 is beautifully designed and crafted. Exactly what I was looking for designwise.
It has enough room for my MacBook, an iPad, my mechanical Keyboard and all of the other tech accessories as well as a big Klean Kanteen AND a 1l Nalgeene bottle (having two flexible bottle holders on the side is awesome) without looking crammed.

For short trips (1 night) its also perfect. If I want to use it for more than two days it gets a bit tricky fitting enough clothes and a toiletry kit inside even when using packing cubes. But it's definitely possible.

I don't regret spending hours after hours looking for the perfect backpack as I've found it with the CTB26.

Great quality bag, has not over-the-top but useful level organization. The pockets are well sized and don't eat into each others dimensions at all. Zips are high quality and the weave used makes that this bag fits in anywhere, in the office and outdoors. Only tiny gripe that I had was the DWR finish was almost non-existent. Applied a new layer myself and after that it holds up well in bad weather. The fit takes some finetuning, but once you've found a comfortable strap length it is super comfortable no matter the weight!

The CTB26 has proven to be an incredible daily driver, even though it is often marketed as a travel pack. It easily swallows my full tech kit and all my essentials, yet still has plenty of room left over to fit my lunch without everything feeling crushed. Even with that extra capacity, the harness system is so comfortable that it never feels like I'm hauling a massive rucksack through my commute. It is the perfect bag that manages to stay organised and manageable for the office while giving me that spare volume whenever I need it.

Quality top notch, great organization features, very comfortable bag unless not overpacked. Non of a back digging issue in my case (I am 175cm and 30kg more than I wish to be ;) ). When overpacked, however, or I should rather say "overloaded" because it is more about the weight than volume, you may definitely notice it in a not necessarily good way.

In my opinion it is much more than 26L. I would say it is rather closer to 30L. Flexible side pockets fit with no issues 1,5L bottles on each side even when the backpack is fairly packed. Additional pockets remain their volume even when backpack is filled to its limits, which is very rare comparing to other bags on the market.

I would highly recommend this bag to extreme one bag travelers but it would work as daily as well. Perfect for two/three day trips, but it might be a bit to large for personal item on the plane, so it is more of a cabin bag.

Did I already mention the organization is freaking awesome? :)

My quest for the perfect travel bag may very well be over. After trying several other reputed bags I ended up with the CTB26. Bigger bags get too heavy, smaller ones too limited in capacity, plus it's got all the features I need without being over-engineered. The lighter 840D fabric keeps the weight down, so far I've never been asked to have it weighed or checked at the airport, even when fully packed. Going through security is a breeze, lifetime warranty, plus it looks good. I'm scratching my head to find something I don't like about this bag, so I can only recommend it.

It just works, the organisation is just right, size and capacity are spot on and the zippers glide nicely across the bag. The laptop compartment is spacious too. Very happy with this purchase.

The only not super positive is that the luggage pass-through is a bit wide and loose. If the bag is heavy, it will tip forward and stretch that pass-through which cannot be good in the long term.
