Mitglieder der US-Militärteams für Explosivstoffentschärfung (EOD) baten CountyComm immer wieder um leichte, nicht-magnetische, verstellbare Schraubenschlüssel für Arbeiten an magnetisch sensiblen Geräten – und genau das wurde ihnen geliefert. Dieses 3-Zoll-Modell ist ein titangefertigter Schraubenschlüssel im Taschenformat mit einer Maulöffnung von 11,4 mm. Vier Befestigungslöcher ermöglichen das Anbringen eines Lanyards deiner Wahl.

Die meisten Schraubenschlüssel werden aus Werkzeugstahl geschmiedet, aber bei diesem Modell wurde bewusst auf Titan gesetzt. Es ist extrem korrosionsbeständig und besitzt eine minimale bis keine magnetische Signatur. Titan ist außergewöhnlich stark und hat ein besseres Verhältnis von Festigkeit zu Gewicht als Edelstahl, Stahl oder Aluminium. Mit einer Dichte von etwa 60 % weniger als Stahl ermöglicht es Werkzeuge mit fast halbem Gewicht. Das bedeutet, dass dieser Schraubenschlüssel aus einem massiven Titanblock gefräst werden musste – was in der Fertigung deutlich anspruchsvoller ist, als es klingt.

Pretty cool... pretty well made (seems so)... Worth it? Time will tell...

Well, I 'll be completely honest...

I got this for a small edc pouch that I have. I wanted something of quality and as small and lightweight as I could find...
CountyComm has a great reputation and this is my first purchase of one of their products... Thanks to Mukama for that!
The quality seems great, I HAVE NOT USED IT IN ANYTHING YET... It is really small maybe too small, but that is why I got it! It feels smooth on the hand, kind of raw on the eyes, pretty good aesthetics and it has a little "play" if you push with your finger the part that opens but this seems and feels natural (maybe I am wrong on that)... For what I wanted seems perfect...

Now the question that most would probably have on their mind... "Does it worth the price?" Well...
I have spent some money on edc stuff the last 2-3 years... Got some pretty cool and really wellmade things that I really carry as edc or as often as I can... If someone asked me OF THESE THINGS THAT I GOT THESE 2 - 3 YEARS which is the one thing that is best for price/usage/quality/value ratio I would probably answer that the Knipex Cobra XS Pliers is unbeatable and I really love everything I 've got up to now! BUT my most used edc thing is a Victorinox Mini Champ Alox that is on my keys for years now and a very beloved pen that I unfortunately lost a couple of months ago!

Also have in mind that this wrench is made of titanium and because of that it is not magnetic... but more pricy!

My humble opinion, if you don't have a Knipex
Cobra® XS Pliers strongly consider getting one before any other kind of pliers and also check the Knipex
Pliers Wrench XS which is even closer in use to this CountyComm Wrench...
