Blue Label Redencion 229 Knife
Das Blue Label Redencion 229 behält das gleiche Design, die gleiche Mechanik und Passgenauigkeit wie die Titan-Version bei, setzt jedoch auf kostengünstigere Materialien. Es verfügt über einen Edelstahlrahmen mit Liner-Lock-Mechanismus, leichte Micarta-Griffschalen für angenehmen Halt und eine Drop-Point-Klinge aus rostfreiem Elmax-Stahl. Mit dabei sind der markante Skull-Clip sowie ein zusätzlicher Clip.
Die Griffschalen lassen sich entfernen, ohne den Pivot auszubauen, und das Messer bleibt auch ohne Schalen voll funktionsfähig – ideal für zukünftige Individualisierungen. Zudem besitzt die linke Seite des Liners Gewindebohrungen für den Clip sowie Bohrführungspunkte in der Innenseite der Schale, was eine Clip-Umsetzung ermöglicht, ohne das Design für andere zu stören. Ebenso verfügt der Backspacer über ein verstecktes Lanyard-Loch, das durch Umdrehen des Backspacers zugänglich wird.

The Chaves Redencion 229 (Blue Label Line) is an absolute tank of a knife, combining Ramón Chaves' bold, industrial design with flawless production quality. The premium Elmax steel blade fires out with incredible action, while the heavy-duty micarta handle provides a warm, secure, and rock-solid grip. It is a premium, overbuilt folder that makes a powerful statement both in the pocket and in the hand.
The knife itself is beautiful, however for this price the finish could be a bit better. The liner lock had issues locking up securely, which was mainly due to some sloppy tolerances on the scales (the pivot bushing moves as does the backstop). Additionally the grind was uneven and had a deep spot which I have never seen before especially in this price range. I get that it’s the budget line but if you don’t care about the design you can get something better for your money. When it comes to Mukama the shipping went well and there is nothing to complain about.
I own few Chaves and I really like this Blue Label alternative. Coupled with brass scales it offer now a new look.
