Quick-release keychain flashlight
Beta QRv2 is tiny, keyring compatible flashlight that retains all the core qualities of a custom Prometheus light: the aesthetic appeal, thoughtful design, and superior beam quality.
Quick Release
The quick release system allows you to simply push to engage and pull to disengage the flashlight from the keyring, engineered to provide 4,5 kg of holding power. Combine this with the snag-free profile, accidental disengagement is virtually impossible and engagement is verified by a solid "click".
High-CRI LED
The light source is the state of the art Nichia 219 High Color Rendering Index (High-CRI) LED. It is designed specifically to work harmoniously with human visual system, providing the maximal color accuracy compared to sunlight. For example, daylight scores the perfect 100 CRI. The Nichia 219 is typically 90+ CRI, currently the highest CRI per lumen in the industry. It really makes a difference - once you experience High-CRI you won't be able to go back to the flat, washed-out light you normally find in LED flashlights.
Batteries
If you want to get the most out of your Beta QRv2, you should use Eneloop NiMh rechargeable batteries. You can use any lithium batteries, but NOT lithium-ion rechargeables.

Handy little light
Very pocket friendly and looks great. A great addition to my brass edc. Doesn’t have the brightest max output but it’s perfect for what I was looking for.

Elegant Design
The brass finish just looks perfect with the signature Prometheus brand design. It’s also a great light. I love how it has a moonlight mode and the max setting is brighter than my Olight i3T. Excellent work Prometheus Lights.

Amazing one
I absolutely love it. Just what i was looking for. I bought and pocket clip too and it fits perfectly in pocket...like it's even not in it. Amazing. Don't hesitate, just buy it. And yes...i bought brass one. Why brass? Because brass.

Well done!
The brass Beta is a really well finished small flashlight. The light output and colour temperature are good for this category and the colour rendering is quite reasonable.
In terms of weight, the brass Beta is naturally heavier than aluminium or titanium lamps. In terms of size, especially length, it is unnecessarily large for a single AAA battery, and therefore I could not imagine using it as a keyring.
The logic of turning the reflector head is clear and works well in itself, but the operation requires a degree of strength that a one-handed grip on the rather smooth surface is not good enough to turn the lamp on and off. Perhaps I should get some silicone grease from somewhere and see if a light lubrication of the o-ring sealant would help. Probably also the patination of the surface over time will improve the friction between the fingers and the outer surface of the bulb.

Messinkinen Beta on todella hyvin viimeistelty pieni taskulamppu. Valoteho ja värilämpötila ovat tähän luokkaan hyviä ja värintoistokin ihan kohtuullinen.
Painoltaan messinkinen Beta on luonnollisesti alumiinisia tai titaanisia lamppuja painavampi. Koon, ertyisesti pituuden suhteen se on yhtä AAA-paristoa käyttäväksi lampuksi tarpeettoman suuri, enkä siksi voisi kuvitella pitäväni sitä avaimenperänä.
Heijastinpäätä kiertämällä tapahtuva käyttö on logiikaltaan selkeä ja toimii sinäänsä hyvin, mutta käyttäminen vaatii sen verran voimaa, että yhden käden otteella ei melko sileästä pinnasta saa tarpeeksi hyvää otetta lampun päälle ja pois kytkemiseksi. Ehkäpä pitäisi hankkia jostain silikonirasvaa ja kokeilla auttaisiko o-rengastiivisteen kevyt voitelu asiaa. Todennäköisesti myös pinnan patinoituminen ajan myötä parantaa kitkaa sormien ja lampun ulkopinnan välillä.

Great Torch built forever
As the rest of the Beta Torch reviews will tell you - you maybe able to get higher spec tech torches and things move on BUT quality doesn't. Bottom line is that this is bullet proof and will light you up in the dark. Post any apocolyptic war there will only be be cockroaches, Beta QRv2 torches and Trump's hair left on earth. Buy one from Mukama - they are great people.
