Honestly, I don't think it's much better than the competitors and my lips feel a bit weird after a while. It's difficult to describe the sensation, it feels as if the balm is pulling the skin of my lips together. It's not terrible but I am not used to such an experience with lip balms.
However, the menthol does give a nice, tingly - soothing feeling for a few minutes after applying the balm.
