Another hit from Matador
I’m a big fan of this brand, as I already own the hip pack and the duffle, and I love them. The freerain is the right addition to the “pack” when travelling under adverse meteo conditions. The rolltop closure with the acqua-guard zipper is fantastic and add a certain level of security to your items when travelling in crowded places.
Last but not least the hip pack can be compressed when it’s not in use, so you can take it with you as spare sling back and “unzip” it when you needed it the most. Fantastic!

Lightweight an small but with a tweak
A small and lightweight sling bag but the roll top opening makes it able to hold more items in case of need.

I really like the idea, but I feel it needs a bit of tweaking... probably 2-1/2 stars
I carry a hip pack in my main pack while traveling for periodic use and this one is great because it will handle all weather conditions as well as packing away very small. The waterproof exterior pocket for quick access to smaller items, and the fact you can invert the pack into it for storage is a lot better than the small mesh pouch they include for me.

I think the expansion was reaching a little too far though. The straps are just a mess and I don't think that part was even necessary for a pack this size when you already have the rolltop that gives some expansion in itself.
